| 7.28.25 | ep mixtape concept | i recently had the idea for an ep mixtape. the concept would be that every song in the ep would use a unique part of a sample, and i would make a song out of that part. the sample wouldnt necessarily be the main melody of the song, but would be used somehow within the song. it would also probably be like 10 minutes long, and have around 5 songs. and finally i will probably release the album on bandcamp, soundcloud, or somewhere else, just not to here. i already have a sample picked out thats got some pretty good potenial, so i think the ep could actrully come out soon and release not being that bad. and if the ep dosent pan out, i will probably just release one or two songs onto here. | ||
| 7.26.25 | drums fo bums.mp3 | just some simple drums for today, not much. they kinda sound like i asked someone who dosent listen to hiphop or much music at all to make some drums, probably because i dont derirate from what i listen to much, so in a sense, its almost like outsider art. other then that i dont think theres much else i can say, as i didnt use a sample anything and i used the same drumkits as always, so ill just give a rating of 4/10. EXTRA FUN FACT: the clap pattern is never repeated as it takes up the whole song. | ||
| 7.25.25 | i programmed a rose into a server i made with php.mp3 | third song so far, and im a bit neutral on it. i think the track sounds okay, its just stylistically bland and unremarkably simple. the drums and what not are pretty good, just kanye and other drumkits as always, its just the jazz sample. i think the snippet on what its trying to accopmplish in the original context of the song is good, its just when split into a new sample based song, with some uninteresting drums, its sounds dry and and forced. and on top of that, it has no intro or outro, only abrupt pausing to open and close the song. one thing i will say though, is that the pattern isnt too bad, shallow but not bad. overall not my best work, and not succecding at what it set out to do, but excluding expectations, its okay. i rate the song a 5.5/10. | ||
| 7.23.25 | jiggle jamz 76.mp3 | second song out of the library ive uploaded to the site so far, and in personally, not to bad. i do think it is a little basic, and the snapping shouldve been quieter, but overall a solid track. im pretty happy with just the vibe and feel of the song, and i think the sample go together quite nicely. another thing i did with this track is that i didnt include all of the typical drum sounds and instruments, mostly just kicks. for samples i used samples from all over kanyes catalog, and some drumkits off reddit. but for the main stuff, i sampled RRThiel's "ghost house" song he made for the what a mario world rom hack, and for the lofi ambience, somewhere around 0:34-0:37 of the youtube video "gloss" by kjrby. definitely above "welcome to the web site.mp3", but not a 10, like a 6.5/10. EXTRA FUN FACT: the rat gif at the top right corner on the home page fits the bpm of this song perfectly. | ||
| 7.21.25 | intrest in mapping in the source engine | i think i should make a source map, as for the past two years, every time mid july comes i regain intrest in the source engine, and i also have an idea for a garrys mod gamemode. it would be capture the flag, the flag would be the half life 2 cones, and each team would have a bunch of them. but the sole difference being that the player had no guns, just the gravity gun, so to kill another player they would have to throw the cone at them. if this already exist tell me in the chatroom. | ||
| 7.21.25 | welcome to the web site.mp3 | this is the first song and thing ive posted to my web site thus far, which i will be planning on posting something here each day for aslong as im interested. i wont always post just songs tho, i will also post things like games and videos too, but right now probably mostly music. anyways this is a pretty simple track with some cool drum samples from the kanye trilogy, and a bill wurtz sample, specifically bill wurtz'z version of the jazz song "icarus". i sampled the first few seconds and you can hear them between 0:09-0:19 and 0:28-0:38. overall a basic track but atleast i wouldnt say that i hate it, probably a 6 or 5 out of 10, i'll say like a 5.5/10. EXTRA FUN FACT: the song is actually a loop, this is because the bill wurtz sample was originally sounds from final fantasy 7 of pianos, which made it sound like video game music, so i made it a loop.
